Theo was born on November 30th, 2007 to a
puppy mill breeder and was a Petland doggie. Although he
was supposed to be no more than 18 lbs., he was a good two
inches taller and 4 lbs. heavier than the Jack Russell breed
standard. He looked great though. His first owner
was Ms. Kelly Williams who provided an excellent home for
"Henry" as he was then named. However, after 3 months of
exposure to the other family pets, Jack and Lucy, problems
started to escalate. Theo was trying to assert his
position as ALPHA and he played rough. Kelly asked us if
we would give him a new home. We agreed. Theo came to
live with us in July of 2008. We could not have asked for
a better family member. He completed beginner and
intermediate training, learned tricks like roll over and shake,
and followed us everywhere.
We were regulars at the Thornwood Gazebo
Park, Campton Hills, and the off-leash park by the river.
We always had to keep an eye on Theo because he was a bit
aggressive and unpredictable.
Unfortunately, his unpredictability got
the better of us and we lost him to heaven on June 1st, 2010.
Our lives have not been the same since. We miss him so but
know that he is having a grand time in heaven. We want to
thank Dr. Crittenden and the South Town Animal Hospital staff
for being so great to us for the last two years.
Our thanks to Laura
and Sean Craig for this lovely tribute.
